COMMON ROOF REPLACEMENT Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about our roof replacement services are commonly asked. We've provided answers to some of them here.

What is the best roofing material for the Pacific Northwest climate?

The Pacific Northwest often experiences heavy rainfall and high humidity. As such, metal roofing, asphalt shingles, and composite shingles are popular choices due to their durability and resistance to moisture.

How often should I replace my roof in this region?

The lifespan of your roof depends on the material and maintenance. Metal roofs can last 40-70 years, while asphalt shingles typically last 20-30 years. Regular inspection and maintenance can extend the life of your roof.

Will my roof replacement be affected by local regulations?

Yes, some areas in the Pacific Northwest have specific building codes to ensure safety and durability. It's crucial to choose a roofing contractor familiar with these codes to avoid potential fines and delays.

How do I choose the right roofing contractor?

Look for licensed, insured, and experienced contractors with positive reviews. Ask for recommendations from friends and neighbors, and request multiple quotes before making a decision.

What is the estimated cost of a roof replacement in the Pacific Northwest?

The cost depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the material you choose, how many layers have to come off, and the condition of the wood underneath. We do not publish a single price because it would be a guess about your roof. We give you a written price after we look at it, at no cost.

How can I maintain my new roof to ensure longevity?

Regular inspections, cleaning gutters, removing debris, and addressing minor damages promptly can help prolong the life of your roof. Consider annual professional inspections for optimal maintenance.
